Introduction

This is an updated version of the FlashCropImage tool published by Raminia. It enables the user to use Flash for cropping the thumbnails. It works similar to 12CropImage but more user friendly and is a bit neater.

Changes to the addon include an update to use the new workspaces, the Thumbnail sharpening and the new addon structure introduced in Version 1.7.

Release notes:

Users upgrading from the previous versions: delete the old addon first (e.g. delete admin_FlashCropImage.php from your addons folder and delete the flash_crop_classes in the includes folder prior to installing the new version.

I downloaded the zip file and put the entire _flashcropimage

I downloaded the zip file and put the entire _flashcropimage folder in my addon directory and I get a blank page when I click on Addons in the admin panel. same problem I was having w/the original version from pixelpost.

Did you remove the files of the older version completely?

Did you remove the files of the older version completely? Try appending “&errorsall” to the url when browsing the addonpage. What does it say?

all of the older versions' files are removed. only

all of the older versions’ files are removed. only the new folder is there. Here are two screenshots. The first is the addon page when i have the addon in my directory. the second is a screenshot of my directories showing no old files and the new files.

@beo21: So whenever you choose a different picture in your adminpanel you see the always the same picture in the FlashCrop tab? I find this hard to believe. Just to clarify things: 1) thumbnails folder has to be writable; 2) when uploading a picture you will see the flashCrop addon appear so you can crop the uploaded image; 3) when you want to edit an image you can choose ‘edit’ from the edit list and go to the flashcrop tab. The correct picture has to be loaded.

Make sure you have set the thumbnail and the images paths correctly in the options panel. They are ../thumbnails/ and ../images/ respectively.

I love this addon but unfortunately I have exactly the same problem. The rights are ok and also the paths are ok. Can you advise me? Thanx for your help.

@ Radovan: I need to dig into it why it isn’t working. Perhaps another addon is interfering. If you disable all the addons does it work? If so, please enable the other addons one by one to find the offending addon. I was not able to reproduce the error.

yeahh i get the same image on every picture that i crop too. other than that it works just fine.
the “images” and “thumbnails” folder have 777 “rights”
