Hello,

I put the folder _entrypage in the addons folder. I changed the <? to <?php as I know that my server is not compliant with single questionmark.

I also set the rights 755 to the folder and 644 to the files.

I go to the admin panel and i see it, i turned it to ON but there is not any option to set the first page. Also when I am going to the starting page i get an error.

Table ‘web181-gal.pixelpost_configentrypage’ doesn’t exist

I see that is database error, but im not sure what to do

Do I have to modify the code, create table or something else goes wrong?

There are two addon files you need to activate:

Set Different Entry Page (ADMIN SIDE)
Set Different Entry Page (FRONT SIDE)

My guess would be you have only activated the front side since the creation of the table is handled by the admin side.

Just one question though, my browse page was set to display thumbnails in a paged view, but when using this add on to make the browse page the front page, it displays thumbnails non-paged, so all thumbnails listed in one long page.

Is there a way I can modify, so that this add-on calls the browse page to be displayed in a paged view?

This is a great add on! I was wondering how you would go about setting up an entirely different page (a page that’s not a typical template page) for the front page? I tried making a index.php page and I put it in my template folder, but it didn’t show up as one of the pages I set up as my front page.

i set up the entry page to be my “home page” and when i navigate to my “image page” it directs me back to the home page. i can’t get to the image page at all since it reads the new index page to be “home” instead of the default “image”. is there anything i can add to/change in the php file so that i can view my lost page?

Could you provide more information about the setup you’re using? The way the entrypage addon is designed is like this:

You create a new template file, for instance welcome_template.html. Within the framework of Pixelpost this page can be accessed by using the following addition: index.php?x=welcome

This is something you can set as an entrypage. But please do provide information about your setup, including folder structure. Perhaps there is an other way around.

great addon, thanks!!! But unfortunately one thing doesn’t work:
I set the “Browse Page” as entrypage and added “&pagenum=1″ for the paged_archive addon to work.
This seems to work correctly. But when I choose the second page to be opened, nothing happens.
There is only the first “browse page” showing up. I couldn’t find the problem by myself. Maybe you can help me? Thank you very much and best regards,

It would seem that the line

Should be located inside the previous curly brace (inside the if(!isset…)) in front_entrypage.php

I’m using miniCMS and I had the opening page set to one of its pages, which worked fine. But if I clicked a link to another miniCMS page, it would send me to the opening page.

I concluded it was because the line above, which passes the stored vars that tell what page I want to open as the front page, was still being applied, even if the script decided that we didnt want the front page.

For a start, I’d like to have the “browse” page as the entry page.

In the near future, I would like to set another page (non-pixel post) as my entry page, from which people will be able to choose to enter my photoblog (pixelpost) or my regular blog (blogger based??)
but I would like it all to be in the same “frame” – more or less like you have in your site. (it looks like one site with “tabs” – blog is one of them and your phots is another “tab”)

As for the “frames” in my page, those are actually layers.
