Schonhose

Even the photobook has been put on hold for a few weeks, but I created a mockup of a page example. The mockup can be seen below. I (not being a photoshop wizard) am very pleased how it has turned out.

Hmmm, that makes two posts for today. Somehow this feels strange.

Just moments ago I decided to put my new layout online. So here it is, the revamped version of Schonhose.nl. Despite my earlier comments I have tried to make the site work as good as possible with IE6 but some issues might come up.

If you find some issues, please do notify me through the comments. In the next few days some things are subjected to change and some cleanup is performed so slight changes are expected.

Perhaps you have noticed the lack of updates over the past few weeks. I know I’m not a regular posting kind of type but nearly a month without me blogging is a bit rare. Let me assure you it does have a good reason. The last couple of weeks I have been working on a redesign of my blog layout.

Although the current layout is pretty much working it is based upon an old Wordpress template called Freshy theme (by Jide) and I modified this template during the time I was just discovering Wordpress. That means none of the cool stuff from 2.6/2.7 is actually in there, I cannot use widgets for example, and the code is uhmm… messy to say the least (This is my fault ).

So when I stumbled upon the updated version of the Freshy theme, nicely dubbed Freshy 2, I found it was time to change the layout a bit. So I started hacking away, creating new images, trying new color schemes and adding a rotating header with some of my images. Currently the template is about 95% done, I still have to do some minor things and some cleaning up of the css code. The latter will probably take a while so be on the lookout for a completely revamped version of my blog, this time based upon the Freshy 2 theme.

After an almost perfect record for more than a year I managed to forget uploading a photo on my photoblog not once, but twice this month. I have been so busy with other things (making photos in Snowworld (an indoor snowboard centre), designing a few websites as a favor, writing some addons) I totally forgot uploading some new photos.

Anyway, I found some room on my desk and I placed a note to remind me to a) keep making photos and b) keep uploading them. Let’s see how long this note will last in the mess I call my desk.
