iPod 3G battery replacement
November 27, 2008A few weeks back I noticed the battery life of my iPod 3G was quickly deteriorating. After charging the iPod for several hours I could only use it for an hour or so. So I decided I needed a battery replacement and what better way to find one than on Ebay?
I found a replacement battery from a shop in the UK which would set me back 8 Euro including shipping. Since I felt that was a reasonable price I bought the item and the waiting began.
It took nearly two and a half weeks to arrive, but eventually it did came. Today I managed to free up some time and replace the battery. The instructions on the small piece of paper were short and unclear, so I search the web for some more info. Luckily youtube.com has lots of videos dealing with the replacement of an iPod battery. So after 10 minutes (of which 3 minutes and 30 second was used to watch the video) I had a new battery inside my iPod.
Since it is now happily loading in the dock I got some time to close some tickets of Pixelpost.
Be sure you charge it up fully, and then drain
Jay | November 27, 2008Be sure you charge it up fully, and then drain it completely. That way you’ll make sure you get the maximum battery life.
The strange thing I noticed this morning, since I left
Dennis | November 28, 2008The strange thing I noticed this morning, since I left the iPod charging overnight, was the fact it showed a small percentage of battery status. The strange thing about it is it displayed full battery status while in the dock. Probably I will let it play until it stops and try recharging again.
my first ebay iphone three-g battery was doa - so
eBay Burned | November 28, 2008my first ebay iphone three-g battery was doa – so endedup going with ipodjuice for two iphone 3g batteries since they have a 1150 power battery and a 1600 power battery (the 1600 power battery has more playtime). Wow! both batteries worked (and are working) great and the 1600 power battery keeps it’s charge from morning to late at night.
