.htaccess tip #1

When you develop sites in PHP, just like me, sometimes things tend to go great on your test server (*uche* XAMPP *uche*) but they fail on your live server due to a slightly different configuration.

Then there is always the nice error_reporting statement in PHP. When this directive is set to E_ALL you will see all the errors. Unless… your hosting company has disabled that in their Apache config.

Luckily you can fix that by using .htaccess (search on Google if you need more info). Here is the code to turn the error reporting back on so you can use the directive in PHP:
php_flag display_errors on
php_value error_reporting 7
